Arkansas’s Top 5 Game Center Games.

08.11.09

Well its the begining of another month and I’ve decided to post up for everyone to see what the hottest games in my center were this month. This covers from July 1 – July 31

1) Plants Vs Zombies (This one is a shocker)

Plants Vs Zombies topped this months play chart by a whopping 132 hours played.  I attribute most of this to Bluesiren (You know who you are).  But honestly Plants vs Zombies is an excellent well thought out and easy to pick-up, not to put down, tower defense game.  Its addictive and Crazy Dave just adds to the overall package this game offers.

2) Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

This one doesn’t really surprise me.  I’ve seen and been involved in alot of the lan play for this one.  And being next to a military base I wouldn’t expect anything less.

3) Dawn of War 2/ Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor

This was actually a very close race for the 3rd spot.  I expected Dawn of War to be on this list but not CoH.  When I first setup in Game Zone Alpha there was alot of requests for this game  and I’ve been re-educated on what exactly real time strategy is.

4) Warhammer: Age of Reckoning

This is Warhammer’s MMO and being located inside of a Gamestore that caters to the Warhammer Tabletop crowd this was just the next logical step for alot of those players when it came to choosing an MMO.  Hopefully this game will keep going strong after the release of Champions Online.

5) World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King

I’m actually glad this is falling on the list.  2 months ago this title reigned supreme and now it barely beat Heroes of Newerth/ Demigod.  With it falling on the list players are losing interest and allowing me to introduce them to new titles.

I’m very pleased with how the selection of games are being played and not one title singularly rules over another one.  And this is a very good thing.  Because it shows I’m doing my job right and constantly exposing my players with latest and greatest titles.

Stay listening for announcements because things are going to move fast for the gamecenter in the next few months.  Wolfenstein is our showcase for the end of August and hopefully that brings a great turnout.
